Born 21/09/1980, Miguel passed through various stages before becoming a commercial director. He started out as a production assistant in 1998 on various commercial and film productions. In 2001 he began working as an Assistant Director on commercials and films, which then led to the opportunity of working as a critic and article writer for the cinematographic magazine, Olvidados (nominated at the Cinematographic Writers Circle Awards, 2002).
Miguel studied Direction at the ECAM which culminated in the production of his graduation short film, “Muddy Mae’s Shoes”. This film entered 75 international film festivals. From 2003 onwards, he started out on his career as a commercial director. After filming several non-broadcast test spots with his first production company, in May 2005 he made his first real break into the market of commercials directing, represented by the Brownie Film Co. in Spain.
In the past couple of years he’s moved on to directing important local and international spots for clients like Audi, Diageo (Gordon’s Gin), McDonalds, Kellogg’s for Italy and Cutty Shark Whisky for Greece.
