David Edwards
David Edwards grew up immersed in film, drawn to the power of story and image from a young age. His background in graphic arts and design informs the visual precision and cinematic composition that define his work, alongside an instinct for capturing authentic emotion.
Over the years, David has directed global campaigns for brands including Audi, Lexus, Budweiser, the BBC, Rowse Honey, Etihad Airways, Hilton Hotels, Sheraton, and LinkedIn, to name but a few. His portfolio also spans music videos for artists such as Rudimental and The Courteeners, and hard-hitting charity films for organisations like Asylum Aid. His short documentary The Song in My Body — exploring how dance helps teenagers navigate mental health struggles — was selected for multiple film festivals in the UK and abroad, earning praise for its raw honesty and emotional depth.
David’s work has been recognised internationally, with honours including Sharks, Clio Awards, UKMVAs, Promax, APA Awards, and a MOBO nomination. As a founding partner of the London-based production company MYTHSMYTH and a member of the Directors Guild of America, he continues to create work defined by care, craft, and collaboration — films that are visually distinctive, emotionally engaging, and rooted in something real.
