ANDREAS ROTH was born and grew up in Hamburg, Germany. Being addicted to video games he started to learn editing and cut his own in-game movies. After high school he pursued a career in the advertising universe. Gaining experience as a production assistant and junior editor, Roth began his directing career with his first client commercial at the age of 21. He quickly gained momentum with a viral film for „Dirt Devil“ which accumulated over 30 million views on Vimeo and officially was titled the 5th most viewed online film of 2011. The film is also part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in NYC. Roth won The Young Director Award in Cannes two times and already helmed campaigns for clients like BMW and Heineken while still in film school. His work has been honored at the prestigious Saatchi & Saatchi New Directors Showcase along with winning numerous other accolades and shortlists at festivals such as Cannes Lions, D&AD, ADC, Epica, Eurobest and NYC Festival... He received a scholarship for the UCLA Filmacademy Masterclass in Los Angeles and graduated from the esteemed Filmacademy Baden-Württemberg in April 2014.
